Make Your Brand Stand Out With PVC Clothing Labels

Not all clothing labels stand out and add texture or character to clothing, but PVC labels can do just that. These are the kind of labels that people can’t help but pay attention to, and they can actually add to the aesthetic appeal of the clothing they are used on.

Look at gloves that have a thick, heavy PVC label attached to them. This tends to be a large label placed on the back of the palm that stretches across the length of the glove. You can print your company’s logo or brand name body there, making it easy to see and also making it a natural part of the glove’s textured look. If you look at PVC labels on both gloves and backpacks, you can see that these improve the perception of quality the clothing has. It makes the product look more expensive and more prestige, if you will, especially if the label is done right.

If you really want to boost your brand and adorn products with your labels, then you do need to make sure they are attached with care. They need to be manufactured by industry experts who have experience in what they are doing and know how to modify their work to make it appeal to the customer. Not every custom clothing label company will even offer PVC labels, because they can be hard to pull off effectively. Then again, not every company that offers them will be able to do the job well. You’ll want to do your research and look into the reputation of the company to see if they have been successful in producing the kind of labels you are looking for.

When done well, PVC labels can really boost your brand and make it far more noticeable. We said before that this kind of label, when manufactured with quality, can give an item a sense of prestige. That carries over to your brand, and you can benefit from the perception people have of your products. If they think your products are high quality, then they will think of your company and your brand in the same way.

Now, PVC labels are not ideal for every kind of item. You would not use them, for example, on most shirts, neckties, socks and other items that are designed to be soft all over. PVC levels tend to be rubbery and hard, and you need to use them appropriately. You can actually hurt your brand if you are not careful about how you implement certain kinds of labels. You can end up looking like you have no idea what you are doing. PVC labels may look great, but they are not designed to be used on everything. They work best for rugged, durable clothing and items that are intended to be used roughly. That includes backpacks, boots, sneakers and some kinds of gloves.

You’ll want to be consistent in your branding and level of quality if you are going to use PVC labels to boost your brand, though. You should have them all produced by the same company, as that allows you to control the level of quality that is being implemented and ensures that you have a homogenous look across the board. If some of your products have shoddy labels while others have high-quality labels, then that will damage your brand and lead to customer confusion. People will have the wrong perception of you, and your brand will not be as strong as it could be.

Too Big for Fashion

The fashion industry is shifting and changing.  Although there are small steps of progress here and there, there’s still a lot to be done and plenty to be discussed!

Various Ways to Use Customized Sticker Clothing Tags

Certain kinds of custom labels have an incredibly diverse range of uses. Take custom hang tag stickers for example. These are used by business owners in many different ways to promote their brand and bring in new business. Stickers may seem like an inexpensive way to tag an item of clothing, but savvy business owners know that they can be a huge benefit to their business.

Sticker tags can be used to provide sizing information. They can be applied to products that are already in the store or warehouse but are missing easily legible sizing labels. They can also be used to make sizing labeling more apparent. Customers may not want to take the time to look through the sticker tags on the inside collar or back of the article of clothing. A small sticker applied to the front of the garment can make it much easier for them to tell what size the clothes are. This means that the clothes will be handled less often and that the customer will be greatly accommodated.

Sticker tags can be used to make clothing more attractive to kids as well. Bright stickers can be customized with interesting designs that are appealing to kids. The designs don’t necessarily have to have anything to do with the brand or the clothing itself, but they can create a certain attitude and elicit an emotional response from potential buyers. Clothes meant for little girls may benefit from flower or butterfly sticker tags Those meant for use in sporting events can be slapped with sporting stickers. The point of this kind of tag is to add some perceived value to the product and make it catch the customer’s eyes.

Businesses can use stickers to offer additional information to the customers, such as sale prices or to show that a particular line of clothing belongs to that line. Informational stickers can be printed with messages like “trending” or “hot item” to denote that something is a fast seller or likely to become a fast seller and draw customer attention to it. The right line of information on a sticker can make a big difference in how well it sells and how easily it attracts the customers.

Stickers tags can be used to promote a brand as well. Businesses can use much larger brand logos on stickers that can be larger or bolder than they may want to risk using on the clothing itself. They may take risks with the sticker that they would not take with the woven label since many customers are not going to use obvious branding on their clothing’s. Yet, they may still want to know what brand the clothing comes from, and attaching these inexpensive stickers to a brand’s clothing line helps to draw attention to the brand and raise awareness about what kind of clothing they create and sell. This brings a line of clothing to gather and makes it easier for a customer to see what the brand is all about, as they see highly visible branding in the form of stickers on all that company’s clothing.

Fresh Summer & A Fresh Start

A fresh crisp look for summer and a fresh start!  After 7 years, this is long overdue!

Welcome to our new online home!  Come in and can I get you anything?!  Coffee, kitties to hug, watermelon juice (Colin and I make a delicious watermelon with mint juice!)?  I mentioned a few months ago that we’re re-designing the site and here it is!  Honestly though after 7 years, this is much needed.  Every detail of this new site was carefully considered, and it was extremely important to me that it feels like home.

The lines and white space on this new site mirror the lines and home decor in my own apartment (speaking of home decor, I’ve scoured the web and found beautiful home decor pieces from JCPenny to Target to one-of-a-kind antiques, see here).  The handwriting and little dashes are things I do when I journal and how I write when I brainstorm.  Every detail, no matter how small or big, was important.  We’ve been working on this non-stop, and I’m so happy it’s here and it’s live!

I couldn’t imagine a better way to begin than with a crisp fresh look!  A beautiful floral embroidery top coupled with white mary jane pumps and a trunk bag.  On top of that, we caught golden hour at Jane’s Carousel.  It was honestly the perfect summer day!

For those who have been with me since the beginning (2011, where does the time go?!) and long time readers, I truly hope you like the new site.  For those who are new to the site, welcome and I hope you’ll stay for awhile.  From 2011 to today, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for being here!

Casual in the City

The best of two worlds – Parisian chic with NYC street style!

I’ve been running around the city picking up supplies for a DIY cement project in one of my favorite summer outfits.  And I’ve been wearing this outfit for three days straight.  It’s so simple yet so chic!  I love the feminine feel of the ruffles against the masculine vibe of the patent oxfords.  It’s combining the best of two worlds – Parisian chic with NYC street style.

The Updated Trench, Perfect for Summer & Fall

At a budget-friendly price while looking like a million bucks!  This trench!  It’s one of my favorite purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

I ordered this trench from the Nordstrom Sale and it’s definitely a keeper!  Classic with a twist, this colorblock trench is under $130.  It honestly looks a lot more expensive than that.  Colorblock panels thoughtfully placed, dashes of studded detailing throughout, leather accents at the collar and belt, this trench is my go-to piece on summer nights and I can’t wait to wear it again in the fall.

The Perfect Reds

This lace top is in a league of it’s own.  Stopped by strangers throughout the day, it’s one of the most complimented piece of clothing I own!

Sometimes one is just not enough!  Triple reds today in a red lace top, scarlet vintage bag, and crimson caged pumps.  And this lace top!  It’s in a league of it’s own.  On the streets, at coffee shops, inside restaurants, it received so many compliments from strangers!  The Victorian high neck, the puff sleeve, the peekaboo lace… it’s a standout piece that works with denim shorts for a casual look, with tailored pants for the office, with jeans for an everyday chic finish.  Basically, it goes with everything!

The good news is that this lace beauty is part of the Nordstrom Sale!  It’s currently on sale for $57, but the price will go back up after the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (the sale ends on August 5).  In addition to this red color, I also love the white lace version.  I have a lace top that’s similar to that white one and have restyled it over and over again!  It’s such a classic piece!  Both colors have a hint of romance mixed with quiet sophistication.

Just in case you’re starting your Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shopping, below are a few of my favorites from the sale!  After looking at pages after pages, I narrowed everything down to a small edit of timeless yet chic outerwear pieces and charming sweaters.

Coats & Jackets, Under $160

Sweaters, Under $80

And not to mention, these beautiful home decor pieces!  I actually just bought the iCanvas ‘Dissolve Me’ and iCanvas ‘See’ canvas art pieces.  I can’t wait to see them in person!

Best Ice Cream Shops in NYC

From ube soft serve to watermelon sorbet, a round up of NYC’s best ice cream shops!  Sit back, buckle up, we’re going on a fun ride today!

– Soft Swerve –

First up, Soft Swerve!  An ongoing trend of incorporating atypical ingredients into dessert is something I openly welcome.  From black charcoal coconut ash ice cream to raindrop cakes, New York City is home to a variety of extremely unique dessert options.

In 2017, the ube craze hit NYC and Soft Swerve opened.  Serving soft serve flavors of matcha, black sesame, and of course the infamous purple swirl, ube, Soft Swerve is home to a variety of unique tastings.  For those who are not familiar with this flavor, ube is actually a root vegetable or commonly know as the purple yam, found in the Philippines and other Asian countries.  Ube soft serve has a subtle earthy and nutty flavor with a smooth and creamy texture.  The ube at Soft Swerve is a win in my book and a must-try if you’re in the area!

– Il Laboratorio del Gelato –

Next up, Laboratorio Gelato!  One of my favorite travel destinations is Italy, land of the most incredible and delicious gelato.  Thus, I was one happy girl when we stumbled by Il Laboratorio Del Gelato.  Situated directly across from Katz Delicatessen (“I’ll have what she’s having!”), Il Laboratorio Del Gelato offers different and unique flavors from a decadent hazelnut amaretto crunch to an exotic cactus pear and close to 300 different flavors available.  A unique aspect of this gelato shop is that they have an open kitchen and are constantly creating and experimenting with new flavors.  They treat their kitchen as a custom lab.

For those missing authentic Italian gelato, I highly recommend a visit to Laboratorio Gelato!  You can have your classic flavors and also sample a few of their more unique and exotic flavors.

– Ample Hills Creamery –

Next stop, Ample Hills!  If you’re searching for extremely sweet and decadent flavors, Ample Hills is the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.  Offering zany and seriously creative flavors, Ample Hills stays away from classic flavors (though they are offered) and shines in their unique flavor creations.

Each Ample Hills location features a distinct and custom flavor relative to the neighborhood, such as the “Nectar of the Queens” at their Astoria spot, a smooth honey cinnamon ice cream base mixed with generous pieces of Baklava and Galaktoboureko (creamy custard pie with a crispy filo crust) lent from local bakery, Artopolis Bakery.  And they also offer pretzel cones, creating a sweet + salty flavor combination with their ice cream.

– Van Leeuwen –

Now to Van Leeuwen!  Van Leeuwen first became hugely popular with their fleet of buttercup yellow ice cream trucks in New York and Los Angeles.  Once they established storefronts in both cities, and in New York especially, their popularity rose even higher. Van Leeuwen offers classic flavors, but where they really shine is in their vegan ice cream.

Their vegan flavors are beautifully creamy and smooth with each flavor profile prominent.  Van Leeuwen’s vegan flavors are concocted from a combination of homemade cashew milk, coconut oil, and cocoa butter.  To be honest, I can’t tell the difference between their vegan and non-vegan flavors!  Also if you’re looking for the perfect photo opportunity on a hot summer day, I can confirm that vegan ice cream does not melt as quickly in the sun as regular ice cream (scroll back to the photos from Ample Hills).  My go-to vegan flavor is the Vegan Cookie Crumble Strawberry Jam.  It’s so good!

– Dominique Ansel –

I love love watermelon!  Colin and I put it in everything.  From smoothies to creating flavor water, watermelon is our go-to fruit.  And that leads us to our last stop, Dominique Ansel!

Three words, watermelon soft serve!  Served inside a gigantic slice of watermelon, the What-a-Melon sorbet is incredibly refreshing.  At first when I took a bite, I couldn’t figure out what else was in the sorbet.  The flavor profile is fizzy, reminding me of sparkling lemonade.  I found out that the fizzy sensation is made out of sea salt and lime zest seasoning mixed in the watermelon sorbet!  And they even add chocolate seeds on the outside of the watermelon!

This dessert is priced on the higher side at $10 a slice, but it’s seriously worth it.  The portions are pretty large and it’s enough for two people to share.  Dominique Ansel is only serving the What-a-Melon during the summer months, so stop by before September rolls around!  It’s only served at the West Village location from 3pm-9pm on Wednesdays-Thursdays, 12pm-10pm on Fridays-Saturdays, and 12pm-9pm on Sundays.

I truly hope you enjoy this ice cream adventure!  If you’re in NYC, visiting NYC, or planning a trip to NYC, feel free to bookmark this page.  Wishing you a happy vibrant summer filled with joy and yummy eats!

Sweet Florals, Such a Pretty Dress for Summer

Summer without florals is like kitties without purrs! It simply can not be!

Another edition of florals today.  This time with a romantic vintage-floral print, neck tie, and tiered ruffles.  I know it’s summer, but I love my boots!  That’s one of the things Colin and I are a lot in common.  He’s an all-season boot wearer and so am I.  And the beauty of florals is that we can wear it all year round.  In spring/summer with sandals and sneakers, in fall/winter under a beautiful coat with boots.  Or in spring/summer with boots and fall/winter with boots again =)

This floral dress is actually part of the Nordstrom Sale!  Under $90, it’s an airy pretty piece that’s perfect for the office, weekend getaways, brunch, movie nights, and every moment in between.  For a full list of beautiful outwear pieces, classic denim jeans, fluttering dresses, and more, stop by my post about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Have a great weekend and thank you so much for reading!
