Flirty Summer :: Ruffle mini dress & Ruffle denim jacket

Happy Monday everyone!  Two outfits today with the connecting theme of ruffles.  Fun and flirty, they’re great for summer and warm weather getaways.  And all of these ruffle pieces are under $100!

I adore the military hue of this asymmetrical ruffle dress.  It’s a great color to toughen up the soft cascading ruffles.  Playing with the silhouette and shape, I lifted and folded the front hem to create a ballooned effect to match the volume on top.  I actually really like the look and might ask my tailor to alter it permanently.

And more ruffles!  Ruffles on ruffles, I love how the lines of the ruffles on the denim jacket flow perfectly with the buttoned ruffle top.  It’s as though they were made for each other!  When it comes to denim jackets, I’m extremely picky and love ones that have an extra something.  I really like the length of this jacket (it’s great with shorts and skinny jeans) and appreciate that the ruffles are not too overwhelming.  It’s just enough to have a peek-a-boo effect in front, and understated and streamlined from behind.

Hope you enjoy the looks and thank you so much for reading!  And special thanks to Nordstrom for partnering on this post!
